Chirp Freq. Settings for 2D & DI

Still learning this new unit. Stumbled upon this list of settings yesterday. Curious if there is an "optimal" overall setting or if this is something that needs to be tweaked to the conditions. In the event that there is a "best practice" with this, I would love to know what it is if you guys are willing to share. Thanks in advance!

"this new unit" must be one of the Helix MEGA DI CHIRP GPS G2N models.

If the Helix is like the SOLIX using the Dual Spectrum DI transducer, you would have three choices for 2D sonar CHIRPED.
Full which is the 140-240 kHz frequency range and is adjustable.
Narrow which is the high end of that range using 180-240 kHz and not adjustable.
Wide which is the lower end of that range using 140-200 kHz and not adjustable.

Practice with those three settings to see which gives you the best results.

    Thanks Wayne,

I apologize for not identifying the unit in the post, as it was already attached to my signature. The unit is indeed the Helix 12" - MEGA DI Chirp.

I suppose what I'm looking for is an explanation of how or why the freq spectrum (at either the beginning or end) would need to be adjusted? Water temp, depth, boat speed?

The DI frequencies 455 and 800 are even more of a mystery to me, but I will play around and figure it out.

Not even going to mention the MEGA freq 1220-1223....
