I had the pleasure of my Xi5 foot pedal crap out on my Saturday morning. It would not rotate the motor when I pushed on the “heel” of the pedal. After some bench time at home I discovered that all but one of the functions of the pedal are magnetic switch based and that the magnet that activates the “heel” switch was not either placed properly, not strong enough, or just a piece of crap…your guess is as good as mine. I could get the motor to spin if I just placed a little magnet from my junk drawer over the switch.
So I just mixed a little JB Weld and stuck it on next to the existing magnet and PRESTO….good fix.
