Part number knterchange

I am looking for a flywheel for my 1990 evinrude 150xp. The original part number is 0583844. I have found that 0582572 will also fit. These are both hard to find and very expensive if you do. Can anyone tell me what else will fit ? I know it's a long shot. It thought I'd try.

0582572 will NOT work on 89-91. You will have to find a 0583844. Nothing else fits. You have a different ignition system from the 84-88(thats what 0582572 fits). Use the right parts and dont try to make something else work.

Well I don't know what is going on with mine but I have a 1990 GT150 that has a 582573 on it?

Looking for a better understanding of the difference.

Didnt quit messing with them just stopped selling(and sometimes giving away) parts. If I sold one now, probably $150 or so but since they are scarce, you will see big $$$$$ usually now by others. Supply and demand.

Have 2 Ranger V series Rangers gonna do restores on and they both are getting rebuilt XP 150's. Have a few more XP's and GT's but they are locked in to other projects. Trying to set myself up for retirement...projects.
