I don't know about the camera boat thing, but you don't volunteer as a Marshal. That'll cost you $150 and you'll need to register in advance. I know there's an on-site registration that fills any available spaces, but you'll be taking a chance. The registration dates are in late November for Life and Nation members, and early in December for "regular" members like me. I've enjoyed my times as a Marshal, and I thought it was worth the $$$ ... BUT I drew good pro's.
Was paid to be a camera boat at Amistad years ago on the last day of an FLW event. Still had the 2003 with a 280 on it and got paired with Deon Hibdon.
As we were getting ready for take off.. Deon hollers See if you can keep up !
