Currently I have an original 93sv at the console and 93sv chirp at the bow. My concern is that I bought the chirp pretty much at launch and not long after the plus shows up. What would be the reasonable upgrade (if any) to stay at the same price point of 1K for a new unit, or stay with what I have as maybe something drastic will come out from Icast? Also, I want to get a version of panoptix eventually so maybe that will play in the future upgrade. Thanks!

There's not a cheap way out of this. The latest Panoptix requires a Plus or GPSMAP unit and you have a price point to deal with. If it was me I'd probably just get the PS22 and use it on the chirp and make the next upgrade 2-3 years from now. TroyBoy30 thinks that by then they will come out with new units that have all kinds of stuff built in. If they do though it won't be at the price you mentioned.
