2017 179 TRX setup
Currently running a 2017 115 ProXs 2 stroke 2.07 gears with a 20 Laser II at 5850 rpm (mercmonitor) which is right at limit. That is with full tank of gas and two people. Boat runs a solid 49-49.5. 10 hours on motor.
I can swap for 21 Stainless Spitfire X7 4 blade but I don’t think I can turn it and the boat will be slower. No jackplate and motor mounted in middle hole. WOT psi about 18.

Use the mercury prop selector and see if it pops up as a choice. I have the command thrust gear case and had a 24 tempest plus. The boat performed okay with no load, but once I added people and gear it bogged down. I used the mercury prop selector and it suggested I drop down a pitch size in various 3-4 blade props. I prefer 4 blade for handling and I’m glad I went that route because the boat performs way better now. I was around 700-800 rpms under rating before around 5300 and I switched to a 4 blade trophy plus that put me at 6100-6200. It did not kill my speed. If anything it’s faster now because I hit almost 51 for the first time and still hit 46-47 with chop into the wind. The boat pops right up and accelerates nicely. I’ve seen at least 1 other post that had similar results with your setup.
