Difference between quicksilver and mercury products

    Just have a quick question,

Is there any difference between Mercury Marine QuickSilver and Mercury products such as oil and or fuel stabilizer? The quicksilver i have seen at retail stores and its usually cheaper. The merc stuff with the red label looks like its the same thing just costs more at my dealer. Oil is all TCw3 and it says mercury marine on the label of the quicksilver. Just wondering if its the same quality and why they would label different.

This question gets asked a lot in the Merc section. THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. Mercury stuff is sold at Mercury dealers while Quicksilver is sold at Walmart, Academy etc.

Not all oils are TCW3. Merc/QS Dfi oil is not TCW3

Does not need the rating since it is not mixed with oil. DFI oil is for DFI motors.

As noted, Mercury is ONLY sold by Mercury licensed dealers.
Quicksilver is for everyone else - Walmart, etc.
Both are produced by Phillips 66 for Mercury inboard/outboard engines.
Just pick the one that matches your needed specifications.
