I've been wanting to fish that area all year.. Maybe now is a good time. I'd like to try the Harrisburg area but that place can get crowded in a hurry. Any other places other than the Ft. Hunter area that is worth trying?

Joe, you don't want to put a glass boat with a prop in at Fort Hunter. I wouldn't go out of City Island either. You would need to go down to Frederic or Clarke.

I have a jet boat that I use for the river. I fished from ft Hunter many years ago and did very well but I think that gets hit hard. Is there any place less crowded then Ft Hunter? Maybe up near duncannon?

I don’t personally have experience with it but there is a ramp at the campground in Duncannon that Penrod’s guides use. There is another ramp a little ways up 15 from there; I don’t know the name of that one. Both of them probably have less activity than Ft Hunter.

Wherever you go don’t try it for a while. This rain has the river way too high. There are already areas with flooding.
