I think hes got about as much chance getting an official letter stating keep using the boat as I do of taking Meghan Markle away from Prince Harry.

This is what I would do if it was my boat in this condition and that new. Understand things happen but this is not the proper way for this to be handled IMO

Seems to me the dealer could have returned it and been reimbursed from Ranger for his time and cost to deliver.

Any other circumstances and factors or events you’ve failed to mention, like Talons or PPs installed, lower unit collisions, road accidents, etc.?

Just asking for a friend, too.

Odd they wont let him drop it off. I bought a new 14' RT188 in the winter of '13 and by june of '14 all the paint had come off the bottom. And I got the same wait for a truck and we will pick it up line. Ended up I was going to be down fishing Bull Shoals anyway so I asked if I could just drop it off on my way out of town. They said sure no problem and that's what I did. Truck delivered it back a couple months later.

Must be a new policy with everything else.

2 12ft talons with sandwich brackets that ranger told him to remove before pick up and they were installed by dealership. Ranger nor dealership said anything about not being able to have pp or talons on the boat. My grandfather has a 15ft 1992 John boat with a 25hp Mariner and duel poles on it for the last 6 years that he uses for cat fishing and zero transom failures lol

But as for how he treats equipment he's the wipe it down after each use and rarely open it up kinda guy. Typical walleye/panfishing dude.

Also just remembered his ranger trailer failed on him as well. The bow support welds on the frame snapped within a few months of ownership.

How is it that a few manu's can build 19' tin boats that you can put a 200 on and they live forever, yet some of the other big names continue to not build a solid ass end on a Tin hull to support a 115 or 150?

Those boats are riveted and the transoms are integrated into the stringers

Yes, my buddy DrHobbs had a 2016 (now 2017) Ranger 1780. Transom was repaired once at the factory, and cracked again. Finally, hull was replaced with a 2017 model, but unfortunately the same problem reappeared. He is still waiting for resolution, but I don't think he wants to give up his boat until crappie tournaments are over. He has a dealer installed kicker motor and a 135 Etec. No powerpoles or talons.
There have been a few cases with this model, I believe. I believe its a design flaw, which is unfortunate as otherwise its a really nice rig.
