Above pics are with my hot foot pressed all the way down so I guess I found the problem. Don't ask me how so assume I just have to screw in the stop bolt on the back of the hot foot to get WOT?
If that's full throttle, your WAY off. You don't have to mess with TPS rod to adjust hotfoot.
+1
Make adjustments to the CABLE to properly set IDLE position. FIRST.
Follow the step-By-Step in the link.

I adjusted the hot foot out until it hit the stop behind the VST and got 10 more MPH out of it today! It hit 59 mph @ 5500-5600 rpms. There is still some throttle left on the table. Can I just back that screw on the linkage behind the VST out so I can get WOT? Will that effect my idle at all?
Leave the adjustment behind the VST alone. You should not have to change this adjustment that was set at the factory.
If you perform the ajustments in the link PRECISELY and the TPS reads 100% open via CDS, then you are done.
Check for a worn roller, or linkage instead.....
Savage - on the hot foot or motor?
