    202 jackplate setup

I just have one question, using a plate with spacers. Do the spacers go between transom and plate or plate and motor?

What type of plate do you have? I'm thinking of upgrading to hydraulic plate. I currently own a Hydrodynamics 8" manual plate, but I want the Bob's plate. Not sure if I can go with a 10".

Keep the 8” but if'n you don’t want to, I have a 10” manual Hydrodynamics I’ll trade straight across.

If you’re using cmc it is spacer then plate then motor. I spoke with cmc specifically about this and that was their instruction. Besides, they don’t fit the other way.

That absolutely would not be my choice.
You want the most solid mount at the transom, not the weakest.
If the plate can't handle it, get another plate.

I sure would have preferred to mount them like you said. The thing that bothered me most was that having the spacer against the transom makes adding/removing them WAY more difficult when experimenting with the setup. Either way, they make a nice plate. It's built like a tank.

I believe CMC still answers the phone. I know they are under T&H now but I talked to CMC last year when I was trying to find a part for the electrical harness. Why not call them and verify. I've actually called them several times over the years and they have always been very helpful. 580-252-1699
