Heard the TPWD was looking for a guy that crashed a boat at Ivie????
The statement by the VFD stated the man "may have wandered out onto an island on the lake," before asking for prayers.
We will update this story as more information becomes available.
Yes I am, I went up there to where it happened and he floated up beside my boat. Hope I never see anything like that again, that's the second dead person I've seen today.
He ran that boat through 100yds of thick standing timber, he just made a bad mistake at 1am in the morning.
Holy hell
It was way up the Concho below the Apache Hills area, he had ran through those trees where the river makes a swing to the left and he evidently went straight. The GW's said there were foot prints in frot of the boat and he may have tried to cross the creek channel that wand more than 4ft deep. From the actual river channel you can't see the boat through the timber, I was amazed how the hell he ended up there. I was talking to some folks on the bank and had just started to move off when he floated up, my boat was literally on top of him, 10 ft from the bank. After that happens, I went to the ramp and loaded. Intruly hope I never witness something like that again and for them mans family.
Is that past the pump station up there
Prayers for the mans family!
We will probably never know what events happened to lead up to such a sad tragedy. But what you experienced was like a scene from a horror movie. A very sad situation for everyone involved.

That would difficult to process. Sorry you had to see that, Chance. Prayers for the man's family.
I can only imagine. I wasn't there and I've thought about it all day.
Like you said, he was one of us. And you'll never forget what you saw. But don't let it take away from what you get out of fishing. You did a very good thing for Mr. Henderson's family by helping them bring closure to a terrible situation.
Cliff, I think I'll get in the water tomorrow evening for a while, the lake is like a ghost town yesterday and today. Ginger broke her foot Saturday so I'm helping her as much as I can. She told me to go today but did some other stuff around the house this evening. Game Warden sent me a text last night that said the exact words you wrote.
Prayers for you Chance from Martha and I.
