When the elites show up there are usually some good improvements done to the lake. Have you been to the Wolf Creek ramp at Grand. Elite tourneys bring in extra money, extra money provides resources to get things done that normally get put off.
I fished a trny 2 weeks after the Elites were at Grand this year. I didn't see dead fish every where. I caught good keepers everyday and a nice limit on trny day.
I think he might be kidding, but if we did use the same philosophy, Grand would literally be the worst place to fish on earth. That place gets pounded by tourneys much larger (in qty of fisherman) than BassMasters and still produces. Im sure it could be even better without all the pressue but still not bad for getting hammered all the time.

I'm just repeating the cries that grand was ruined earlier this year,
and no I don't go to grove very often that is so far at the upper end of the lake you have to fight the Kansas ,Missouri and Arkansas people to launch. I would rather GRDA spent the money on a tournament ramp somewhere towards the middle of the lake that everybody could have used

They wanted to build that facility at Martin's Landing or maybe I should say they looked into building it there but Nichols wanted too much money for that property.
and 90% of the Grand Lakers would love to have No Fishing of Any Kind...
Id be happy if they just put a darn dock by the twin spillways ramp. Its a booger to launch there by yourself in north wind. Tore up the bottom of my boat one time loading up.

Wolfe creek is used for 100 different things besides tournaments too
The martins landing area was going to be dredged and a island made with tournament facilities on the island .it wasn't that nichols wanted to much it was going to be a shared expense with GRDA and nichols .
but GRDA decided they could get more money from the city of grove.
