    Javelin 389 T transducer mounting location

    Where is everyone mounting there transducer on these hulls. I keep breaking transducers not from impact but I guess from the force of the water. Mine have been mounted in the pad next to the live well pumps. Not working out. I don't have a jack plate so that's not an option. Any ideas?

    If it's just a depthfinder, how about mounting it in the bilge. It wont cause cavitation on the prop or get destroyed.

    This is how i mounted mine. This was my Stratos but on my Javelin i mounted it in the same spot. Never had any issues on either boat!

    I mounted my 'Bird transducer a little higher up than Javjoe's. Just make sure to seal the holes and it has visibility to either side.
