Re: What is a Stroker? (Luke)

I don't think Stroker gets enough credit for it's great fishabilty, because of it's speed. I really think it gets over looked. On a real windy day, a Stroker will sit and fish with any other boat on the market. One other thing, don't think because Allison, Bullet, or Stroker wiegh 600-800 lbs less than a cookie cutter boat, that they aren't as strong, it is quite the opposite.

    Live well consideration.

This is NOT a bash on strokers in any way.....I really like the boats and was extremely interested in purchasing one until financial reasons made me have to wait. I think the only, and I mean only, true weak point on a stroker that pros would look at, is the livewell is not quite large enough for a touring pro to feel comfortable with.
These guys make a living fishing and any dead fish may cost them points and or money.
I know this has been discussed and most owners agree that the livewell could be larger for draw tournaments. Chub just doesn't want to make a change because of the cost involved. They are fine with the divider pulled out for teams.
This is just an opinion from a stroker wannabe.

I've had a team weight of 20# by 8:30 in the morning, no dead fish at weighin at 3:00. The live well seemed full and we ran it on fresh water in all day with the recirc pump also working. I can't speak to any larger weigth's at this time. I have been fishing out of a Stroker since late 07 and have never had a fish die on me in the live well, that being said I do check the well periodically thru the day and in summer add meds to help the fish. When I calculated the size it holds about 25 gal of water to the bottom of the overflow outlet.

Same here dean, never had a fish die, but it's funny to my that there are some boats with "bigger" wells and have fish did all the time.
