Mercury hub kit for a Yamaha 250 SHO

Ordered a Bravo 1XS and am hearing conflicting suggestions on what hub kit I need for my Yamaha 250 SHO. Can anyone advise?

This is crazy. Even the prop shops are all telling me different hub kits. I'm about 50/50 on which of those 2 to go with. I guess it doesnt matter? WHat is the difference between the 2?

I went with the BRavo 1 XS 26p to go on my Skeeter FX21 and Yamaha 250 SHO. I borrowed that prop and ran it on my boat and it was like a whole new boat...gained 6mph over the Yamaha T2 prop. I however dont know what hub kit he had in it, and neither does he.

Hope you give a review of the bravo after install. Said you gained 6 mph with borrowed one. So how fast was that?

My boat would run 67 with a T2. I tried 3 of them, one of them ran 68. My boat ran 71 with my T1. With the Bravo 1 I borrowed I made 1 pass on a very short stretch and got up to 71.6 then ran out of room. I also didnt get to adjust the height on my Atlas because the relay went out. I'm confident its got 2-3 more mph in there after adjusting the plate.

Both are correct. The difference is in the thrust washers

That hub will work but I would buy the solid hub piece and trash the plastic one. On a 250 the plastic one won't last long.
