    Installing humminbird hs GPS puck

Are there any pics or videos showing install of the puck on aphoenix? I specifically want it behind the driver seat to the right as most factory installs. Don't know how to take that apart or run cable through "dual dash" console

after you pull the dash there will be a hole with a large grommet to run the wire threw, if you remove the shiftier panel you can grab the wire and also access the area where you are wanting to mount the puk

Thank you for the help and pics. How does the dash/ console come apart? I see fasteners attaching top to bottom and more around the vinyl dash. Does the dash all come off first or do you leave it attached to half of the console? Don't want to mess anything up. It'll be the first time I've opened my boat up!

just remove the 7 or 9 screws under the black caps and the dash will slide off toward the steering wheel

It's not hard. When putting it back together be easy on the screws. It wont take much to strip out the fiberglass

I have seen them mounted beside each other, the GPS will not interfere with the other, the point one just cant be near anything magnetic

thats always debatable, Phoenix puts them right behind the drivers seat to avoid possible issues of interference and its out of the way, some prefer the puck to be as close to the transducer are possible for accuracy on weigh points , I have seen many humminbirds mounted on the flat spot by the step at the back with no issues, lowrance would be different having a magnetic compass and could get interference from some engines.

Not the best pic but you can see the sensor on the back. Mine is mounted using double sided tape so no holes. It really needs to be on the other side because the motor wires go right under it and throw it wacky when running sometimes.

I mounted mine right in front of the rear chrome handle on the flat spot.
