    Realistic TRX speeds.

Been through dozens of performance specs and posts here.
Realistic numbers on a TRX 18 with 175 Pro XS ? Rather have it with a 200 but looks like Merc has discontinued the V6 200 so to get 200 I need a heavier V8 and I am afraid might be a big big price increase.

There is very little if any increase in the 250 series, I found that out when I ordered my new rig last week. I doubt there is not much difference in the 200 but could be wrong.

You can get a mercury 200 V6 4 stroke, the 200 Pro XS is the V8, check the weights and you’ll be very surprised. If you really want the 200hp. 2 stroke, ask around you may find one. Can’t give you speeds for the 175 but my 200 has hit 68.5 mph, it’s has a little more but I need to learn to drive the chine walk out of it.

Get the 200 Pro xs V8 4S it only weighs 25 lbs more than the 200 V6 4s and will be faster because it revs higher and has a higher gear ratio.

Mercury does not make 2 stroke motors anymore. Don't know about cost but you'll be sorry if you buy it and some one passes you.

I’ve got a 2017 189trx, (same hull as 18Trx but only rated for 150 hp) with 150pro xs top speed of 61.9 mph@5760 rpm
6” manual jackplate, (2.75” PTP) 23p tempest plus 12.5psi water pressure

Thanks, that 200 4s pro xs just threw me, I think I will be pretty happy with this hull with either 200 on it.. Originally was thinking Xpress X19 with Yamaha 200, but dealer is 4 to 6 hours away, vs 45 minutes for Triton.. Plus I am pretty sure I know what 'll be getting in the Triton as far as ride. While the Xpress is a mystery.

The V6 and V8 both are rated 200hp, but the V8 will kill in holeshot and acceleration due to the bigger displacement.

thanks again,, decisions decisions still on fence between local triton or distant Xpress, Wish Triton had the bigger Aluminum boat... Dang that Triton build got pricy quick.

I wouldn't get the Xpress...I had an X21...You will be happier with a glass boat IMO...

well they price quote I got WAS for the V8,,, so umm vroom vroom, Gotta ask about Jackplate, it isnt listed in features, but it is listed as a "Backout standard jackplate" on the options page below the hydraulic jackplates, probably a 6",, but definitely something to get in writing on the order.
