    Curado/Chronarch brakes

I'm cleaning reels and in my stash of reel cleaning "stuff" I've got a few small bags of spare brakes.
Some are red and some are green.

The reels come stock with the red brakes. Don't know what the story is behind the green brakes.

    What's the difference?

    Thanks

I know squat about it. All I know is what I've read. Different colors are used to change the amount of braking force. I am going to assume green will use less braking force since red comes standard....to make allowances for those that may not be experts with a baitcast reel. Kind of like me.

If I remember correctly they are different weights. I think the green ones are heavier but I'm sure reelex or bantam1 will be along shortly to give a definite answer.

    green heavier than red
I never seen a need for the green ones myself
but if 6 red brakes "on" is not enough braking then
    change to the greenies

White/grey are the lightest, then the reds are a bit heavier, and the green is the heaviest.
