My driveway is sloped down. So I back up just onto my chocks, go back, unhook, jack 'er up just enough where I think the coupler will lift off the ball, get in the truck, back up just a hair and she pops off. My previous boat was so tough that i would sometimes unhook the hitch from the receiver and pull away leaving the ball in the tongue.

White lithium grease works best. Spray it on the ball as well as the trailer hitch cavity.
So Jon, did you lube up your ball?
They aint got hands, set the hook
When I back into the garage, I always drop it into Drive before putting it into Park. This gives my trailer just enough forward movement to let the hitch come right off.
A little schmeer of Ball grease is never a bad thing either.
Don't worry Ma'am....
I'm only here for the Bass.

I notice if I chock my wheels tight before I unhook the trailer it gets stuck on the ball. So now I chock them loosely and it pops right off every time. It always seems the trailer need to move left or right to pop off.
