    Prop change advice

I have a Ranger 2009 188dvx with a etec 150ho. I have 6" jackplate. By myself it is adequate. Top speed about 56 and decent hole shot. With a partner, full fuel and a livewell full it struggles to get on plane. In rough water it is unacceptable. Thinking about a 4 blade prop like a Bravo 1 FS someone on here recommended it. But what pitch? Do I go down to a 15.25 x 21p? My current prop is a Raker II 14.5 x 22p. I don't mind losing a little speed if I can get a better hole shot.

I don't know if my RPM gauge is accurate or not but I can barely get 5300 RPMs by myself.

    Open to other prop suggestions.

    Thoughts?

If your tach is correct, You need a 20P Bravo1 FS.... I think you will be happy.

Thanks. What would be a simple way to test the tach?

I still thonk this is the right prop for your request... I think the tach is correct based on your slip numbers.

Thanks... I have always felt like I was not turning enough RPMs.
