    2001 Bass Xpress 17

Can someone give me some info on this boat? Maybe taking a ride to look at one. Good hull? What's the beam?
How would it compare to a G3 Eagle 170? (if someone might know both boats)

    thanks

I appreciate you posting these specs.

By comparison my 2018 H17 has a bottom width of 59" and a beam of 88" with a hull weight of 951 # but is only rated for 90 h.p. Max.

    Go figure.

A 115 would probably run mid 50's on my hull.

In your 2001 brochure should be specs on my first Xpress, an X60 which I believe was 18'3" with a 60" bottom, 87" beam and rated for 130 h.p. (Going from memory).

I would have preferred the lower sides and higher h.p. of X18. Wind affected the 26" sides more I believe. With dual steering I don't see why the X60 did not qualify for the same h.p. rating as the same length X18.

The same delema as my H17.

Thank you for sharing the information from your brochure. I tossed my brochure when I sold my X60 with F100 4 stroke after 10 1/2 trouble free years.

Great boat and got a super price on it from a dealer in Jemison, Alabama. Owner now deceased and business closed.

Could you post up the specs on a X70 or possibly shoot me a scan of the page? I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Chris

My plate says 150hp, but I think if you rigged it with hydraulic steering it increased the hp rating. Is that correct?
    Same hull as X19??
I'm completely rebuilding my X70 and they are hard to find info on.
    Thanks, Chris

Yep same hull but different weight I don't get it. Not sure about the hydraulics for the 175 on the X70. It was required for the 200 on the X19. Not for the 175 though.
    My capicity plate says 200 hp I have a 150 no hydraulic.steering.

If I ever repower with a 175 or 200 I would definitely want hydraulic steering.

To further muddy that water ....... I've got a 2007 or 2008 brochure at home that states the 'X19 with 150, hydraulic steering gets 200' just like you said ....... my 2008 X19 had dual cable steering and a F115 on it when I bought it yet the capacity plate said 200. Thus before I drove all the way to Texas from South Carolina to pick it up, I had the dealer show me a picture of the inspection plate to make sure it was not going to be a '150 max' boat and have to go through all the headaches of getting it swapped to a '200 max plate'.

But anyway, it left the factory with dual cable steering and 200HP plate.
