SOLVED! Boat was really messin up today as soon as it hit the water. At 2k rpm it was cuttin in and out. Turn it off and try again and it runs for a while then dies while at WOT. Start cruising at idle and pulling on wires and such looking for loose connections. None. Barely touched the starter solenoid that sits in a rubber housing and killed it. Replicated this probably 15 times. Local Merc dealer happened to have one on hand.
Gotta love electrical bugs.

Glad that fixed it for ya... but that's definitely one I'd have had to see.

Never in a million years would I have thought that would have caused it. Has to be an internal short that gets worse with vibration.
I will be cutting the solenoid open to get a better look.
