is there any way to adjust the size of the solix screen splits or is it a fixed 50/50?

I've provided this request to Humminbird on multiple occasions but nothing yet. In my mind, that is about the only advantage the Helix has over the Solix. In all other respects, the Solix is superior to the Helix. I would also like to be able to change where the split occurs but it must not be that easy to do with the Solix Operating System (which Humminbird bought and didn't initially develop themselves).

Still boggles me that the helix units and most other manufacturers have this but humminbirds top of the line unit does not. Id really like to run just a vertical split with DI and SI, but want to maximize my SI space. Like 3/4 SI and 1/4 DI.

As much as I would like to see this as well it maybe more work than it’s worth

Since the software already has a way to create split screens it might require the total rewrite of that portion of the software to accommodate a movable split

Might be quicker/easier to create a couple preset splits that favor one side or the other

Having spent 42 years in the IT industry, many things that appear "simple" on the surface are anything but. Anything can be done with enough dollars thrown at it but it always comes down to effort/cost vs gain/profit.

Yeah im no software engineer but unless they plan on dumping the solix operating system they might as well get started now. Going to need it to keep up with the competition on this stuff. Been a garmin user until now and they are constantly improving and releasing new software.

I definitely agree on the ability to change where the split occurs, even if it is only in the 2-payne views. As indicated earlier, I've provided that input to HB on multiple occasions. It wouldn't hurt for others to reach out to HB support to make the same suggestion.

I want a Solix to go with my new 360 but unfortunately I like the Helix adjustable split too. My software guy said it can't be that hard since the split screen is already there. It's linux and that what we use. He would know as he contributes to the linux kernel.

I won't let him touch my Solix though :-)

Yes

Create the split screen view, then turn all the Globals off on all views with Side Imaging.
Choose which view to be left and which to be right.
