Accuracy of Fuel used Smartcraft Gauge

Anyone have experience with the accuracy of this gauge. I hardly ever fill me tank which is the only way to test it. Have you found it to be accurate? Is there a way in calibration to offset the usage if not reading accurately?

I use it every trip and when filling up it always is fairly close.

I don't even look at the fuel gauge anymore. I just reset my smartcraft when ever I fuel up. Found the smartcraft is usually within a gallon of what I use.

Good to know. Now if I could figure out how to delete the low fuel message that keeps popping up I would be good to go.

I have the same experience. Mercmonitor said I had used 34.2 gallons and it hel 33.9. I’ve only really filled it up a couple of times, but the monitor has been within a gallon both times. Ands that’s using over half a tank.

Does the first user still have to program them? If so, be sure it was programmed properly or it won't be accurate.

Those numbers are pretty accurate. I don't think my dealer programmed at all. Just added 10 gallons before I picked it up so never has been fully empty again.
