Just can't break the streak! UGH

My wife and I fished our third tourney of the year and just cant break the streak of missing a check by 1 or 2 spots! The good news is that she did catch three keepers in our tournament Saturday at Tanners creek. That was her first time catching a keeper during a tournament and she was VERY excited about it. We are going to break this streak and cash in one here soon! Just have to find that elusive 2.25#'er on the Ohio river.

We had a fun time during the day. Sarah got to see how foggy it can be in the mornings on the river and help push pole the boat off a mud flat when I tried to get into a creek I have not been in in a long time. I was out in the mud lifting and pushing from the back and she was using the push pole from the front deck.

I am sure you guys will break the streak...maybe even hit the top step!!! My son and I are trying to do the same thing...he is 10 and learning as we go along and never gives up!

I got stuck on a mud flat at Guntersville a few years back...in March. I had to strip down to my skivvies and push the boat out in 54 degree water....lol

I was lucky it was a warm 80 something degree water AND it was off the main river so I didn't sink up to my shins in the silt like you can in the creeks. Been there before too.

My partner and I have been on the same streak this year.

Another tournament and another 6# bag. Sarah caught one of our five keepers this time. We just can't seem to find the better fish on the river. We have one tournament left to break the streak.

All you can do is keep grinding away right?
My son and I have a tourney next weekend at Salt Fork....I fished there Saturday from 6 to 1:30....not a single bite.

That is right. Keep grinding until you run out of time.
Ouch, but now you have a better idea of where not to fish.

She don't wear it in the boat, because it makes me sick. Then she would have to catch all the fish.

Just a heads up from the Whitaker house hold. UK will beat Duke in the Champions classic this November! ....... I hope!

Mark it down 200xp, Nov. 6th 2018. Game is at Indianapolis.
I wish I could post the pic from the last time they played in the Champions Classic! But I know better! I would vanish if I did.
