    Question Hotel stay around Green Bay, Appleton, or Manitowoc?

    First trip to Wisconsin. Any suggestions on where to stay and area attractions? Thanks

    Stay in Green Bay....Lots to do there. Lambeau, train museum, bars on the river. Hire a drift guide and float the Menomonee River for smallies.

    There are a lot of farm to table type restaurants, small shops, wineries, take the ferry to Washington island or Rock Island. Egg Harbor, Fish creek, sister bay and ephriam are really nice little towns. FYI Smallmouth fishing sucks up there.

    plenty to do in Door County, Egg Harbor is nice. Friend owns a coffee shop (buttercups coffee) and if you make it to ephraim check out Chef's Hat good place to eat. Plenty of shopping to keep the wife happy.

    If you're going to Door County take a day and take the ferry to Washington Island. You can park on the peninsula and just ride over and take the tour tram thing, rent bikes or pay a little extra and bring your car. Go to Nelson's Hall and do your shot of bitters. The island is beautiful, one of my favorite places to go. I don't think I'd be able to not fish though.
