Strange year so far.....Feb 15, 2018

Ron and I took the Ranger down to Theodosia to see how it was going to run. I spent the last month or so, in the cold, reassembling his '95 Mercury Xri EFI 175. We couldn't get it to idle correctly. It would run and die, then run and die. We finally ran the cranking battery down. While Ron ran to town to get us a fresh battery, I made one cast off of the boat dock and caught this little beast on a ned rig. First action of 2018. We worked on the motor for a couple more hours but still could not get it to run. (We found out later we had purchased a reman power head theat was assembled with the port pistons on the starboard side and the starboard pistons on the port side. No wonder it doesnt' want to run. More on that later.)
