    Question Charging batteries when it really ho outside?

    When it gets extremely hot outside is it best to keep charger plugged in or unplug?

    I have a minn kota charger and it is plugged in year around when boat is not being used, heat is not an issue.

    Just took my boat out after a month of work. Unplugged noticed extension cord was melted

    Too small gauge cord or heat ?
