I made it back in time to get Coop back out on the water before he heads back for the summer. I hope to get him out at least one more time before I have to go out on work again.
It was a good morning. About 68 degrees, a bit of a wind was blowing (10 - 15 mph). The water here was down about 8 to 12 inches from where I would call full pool. The water was very clear. We started out in the dark with Whopper Ploppers and caught a couple dinks before daylight.
Then came the inevitable. A trip to the ER.
Over my 55 years I have been hooked a few times past the barb. I have always gotten them out with the string trick. Bad angle, between the fingers, and it being in my right hand made it impossible for me to get it out myself.
Well, after we got back to the lake we hit the water running. They were still on a bite. Weightless flukes, buzz baits, and a few spinner bait fish. We caught 11 or 12 in all counting the dinks.
Here is the best of them....
Like everything always does, it worked out in the end.
LOTS !!!!! Better Luck Next Time !!!!
