Yep, nice weights for summertime. Looks like Canadian side is where its at.

I'm waiting for one of those 9lb 7oz gorillas to be brought to the scales...!

I heard there was a DQ on the pro side, anybody got info true or not??

On another note we won't know about catch and release good or bad for a few years, as the year class of fish will determine success of spawning.

Will FLW have a live stream at all besides the weigh in?

We have been catch and release fishing for a long time. The only effects we are seeing is smarter fish.

Not to the extent that we have had in the last 2 years, out of state pressure is unreal on the mile road bed fish.

I was over in Mitchell's bay yesterday. There were only 5 tourney boats up there. I'm guessing most of them are spread out from stoney point to the Detroit river. I caught a bunch of dinks and a small Muskie. Didn't venture down to the south shore as I didn't want to interfere with any of the tourney guys. It will get tougher going forward for them after the amount of big fish they took out of there.

    Sorry...

I've been coming up every spring for the past 10+ years and I plan on continuing to do so...

This spring was the best trip I've ever had up there. I had 4 days where I had 25lb 12oz or better for my best five smallies each day.

We are glad to have you....The more anglers we have coming up buying licenses and helping the economy the more power anglers have at the Local and State funding battles ....Lake St Clair smallmouth fishing is definetly on the radar and that is a good thing....
Lots of guys beetching but as they say.."Someone always catches fish" and that is proven time and time again in competition and is a testimony to the capacity of the lake....
I'm more concerned with some of the meat hunting charters than I am with out of state angling during C and R...

The dq was on Josh Douglas. He got a ticket by a Canadian CO for being over the limit. He bought the conservation license instead of the full license, got a ticket, had his day one catch dq'd and had to reduce a 22lb bag to 2 fish and return to US waters until he got cleared to buy the correct license and have a "restart" mid-day. I've never seen a CO I'm Canadian waters but it's good to know they are out there.

Sadly it didn't matter his day 1 catch was not allowed to be weighed.
