    Brake Dust

Not an earth shaking deal but every time I take out the Z19 the wheels come back covered with brake dust. I got a late start after buying it in February due to some foot surgery but have had it to one of our local lakes maybe 10 or 12 times. Most trips are 45 to 60 miles round trip. Wondering if the brake dust issue will eventually quit or if better pads are needed.

I don't have much of any on mine, but my trips are pretty much mostly highway with just a few stops/slow downs.. But I know they work...

I had the same issue with my new Ford F350 truck I bought last year but it finally quit. Someone suggested going to a ceramic pad on the truck, if that is the correct term, which don't produce much dust. I'm not sure if that would be an option for the boat trailer. I think the brakes on the trailer work fine which is evident by the dust but for my F350 dually it is not much of a load.

I don't get much dust at all on my wheels, even with long tows of 100+ miles or more. I did notice that the brake actuator is very sensitive to the trailer being level. The brakes on my trailer will actuate if the tongue is even the slightest bit lower than level. I have brakes on both axels though. I don't know if that makes any difference or not.

Check the diaphram on the reservoir. If not seeded correctly brakes can drag.

Mine did it real bad at first. Said something to the dealer and they told me it will stop and it did thank god. But yeah ever trip had to wipe the back wheels down cause they would be black.

My Z9 did it when I bought it new and the brakes did the same thing, they failed 2 months later. Take it back and make them fix it. I did and they replaced my entire system.
