    Mounting holes on Suzuki 250SS

I am needing to raise my motor on my jack plate. The jack plate is all the way up and the prop to pad is right at 3''. The motor is mounted on the third hole from the bottom. Is it ok to use the very bottom holes? I am just worried there is not enough "meat" there at the bottom. Thanks in advance.

Here is the other concern I have... the height of the clamp above the jack plate.

I'd call zuke and ask them if the mount breaks under use is it warranty or not?
If it's not, ask them why those holes are there then.

I wonder if a different jack plate would be taller?

I personally wouldn't worry about it at all, but you certainly could swap out that 10" hydraulic for a six, and stack a manual six in front of it to get your desired height.

That should be fine, but I do wonder how you are still 3.5 under pad at that mounting position?

No... I was at 3.5 with my jack plate raised all the way up to it's highest setting. Now (with the motor mounted higher as shown in the pic), I am at 3.5 with the jack plate in the middle setting with room to move up and down. The motor was mounted in the middle holes on the clamp bracket before I raised it, and the motor and no room for adjustment.

I'd leave it the heck alone then. A lot of stuff is going to break before that mount breaks.

With a 20" midsection I would think the centerline of your prop is higher than 3.5 as shown. Are you sure you are measuring correctly?
