I have a Ranger Trail trailer for my 521vx. I replaced the winch, and the original safety strap was attached to the old winch. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the strap style, like on the newer Nitros. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. thanks
My strap was replaced under warranty with a strap that had no safety strap on it.
I bought a Curt Safety Chain from Walmart.com for $7.xx and bolted it to the hole where the original one clipped.

Lol. Pretty sure my strap from Ranger directly was cheaper.
I am interested too since I am not overly impressed with the stitching on the replacement Ranger sent. I like having to redundant strap instead of a chain.
I bought a 20,000 pound yellow strap from Harbor Fright for less than $15.00. Once you anchor it all the stress transfers to the compression of the strap and it will pull the house down. Perhaps it isn't the color you want, but on my old Stratos what do I care?
I presume you're talking about the winch strap, but if not, so be it.
Ebay has them. (Not for $300!!!)

My triton has a transom tie down as a safety bow strap but I don’t like is. I would rather have a chain, maybe rubber coated so it don’t rattle, I’d feel a little safer, I’ll get around to changing it one day.
i use chain and snap hook for bow eye, and other end of chain bolted to trailer frame, its not going any where lolo
I Don't want the chain that I see everywhere. basstrackeroptimax, that is exactly what I want. I have seen a coiled black cable that seemed pretty decent, But most seem too long for my application. I saw the ebay post with the double hook strap. I just upgraded to the Fulton F2 winch and don't want to replace a brand new, probably stronger strap. I will try the Nitro dealer and let anyone else interested know what happens. Thanks for all the info, and suggestions.

that does look like the best alternative to what i am exactly looking for, and can't seem to find. I even called a Nitro dealer today, and he was trying to tell me the safety strap was built into the winch strap, not a separate piece, and I know this is not the case. I thought maybe on the brand new ones they changed to that, but I got to looking at pictures on the website and it is exactly the same as the picture basstracker put up on the top of this post.

FOUND IT!!! After calling 2 Nitro dealers and Bass Pro in Harrisburg PA, where the lady on the phone basically talked to me like I was a child and definitely lost any potential business that I would have ever given that place in the future. Anyway, 4th call was to Flash Marina in Lake Hopatcong NJ, Curt knew exactly what I was talking about. $10, $24 shipped to my door and I am a happy person.

Texas Larry, that was my next go to. But I don't have a convenient spot down on the frame like yours to mount it. Only spot I have is under the roller on the winch post. I figured that coiled cable was too long. But I do like that as well. Either way, I found exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again for everyone's input.
