    XB 2003 tank removal?

I bought me some new 9/16 transom bolts to use when I put the new jackplate on. I can reach them to get them in and I can get a wrench on them to tighten them. But, I spent 80 dollars on the fancy SOB's from Allison that have the tabs on them and I would like to put the screws in them and I cannot do that with the tank in. So, before I go thru the trouble to remove the tank, can it be removed and if so do I need to remove anything to get it out? Thanks.

What ever is in the compartment with the tank has come out, empty the tank, disconnect the fuel and vent hoses then slide the tank foward and rotate the front of the tank up and out.

I didn't have to pull it. But if I did it would have popped right out.

When I pulled mine I found two great big screws run up in the bottom of it.

wiggle a strap under the tank, it makes it a lot easier to pull out

Putting a vacuum on it with your shop vac will help also.
