I take it that it was the BPS brand.

3 years is a good run for a marine battery imo.

I have an Interstate SRM-29 for cranking & accessories (pumps & electronics). Outboard is a Yammie 250 HPDI. I typically get 4yrs service out of them. Check water level couple times a year. Use SRM-27s on my TM.

Yep just the BPS brand I'm sure someone could tell you who the manufacturer is I never asked. Had to replace the trolling motor batteries so I went ahead and bought a starting battery while I was at it. The starting battery was still going strong when I sold the boat one of the trolling motor batteries had to be replaced about 6 months later. They swapped it out with no problems.

I found an 8A31 Intimidator "second" brand new on ebay for $150 free shipping. The "seconds" are always the ones I look for. Usually just cosmetic blemishes.

The optis and Pro xs require a 1000CCA or 1200MCA, that’s a big group 31 and not many meet the spec of that. Now the Pro xb and efi’s I have no clue on.

The new 4 stroke merc requires 1000CCA as well.

700 CCA for a yami SHO.

    675 CCA for a e-rude.

For years and years I ran a 24 series Delco Remmy. I think it was 1000 cca. My supplier told me that I wouldn't have the same luck with the new Delcos ( Last time I replaced them was 2012).

    I bought a NAPA commercial battery 31 series, it's a beast

Running the same battery for 5 years now and still going strong. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore, it's a Sears Platinum.

The sears platinum was made by Deka. You can find them at Sams under the Entergizer or Duracell brand...I can't remember. It's the same battery.
