What do you see in this screen shot?

This is a point in a reservoir in Kentucky in June. What are you thoughts on the picture quality and whats in the picture?

Looks like a sand/rock point with a couple of stumps and maybe a log .... try decreasing the senitivity a bit.

I agree with Bob B, it's a little hot. I'd dial the sensitivity down a little.

It looks like a point with some rock and fish on it. From what I can see there is space between the shadows and some of the objects.

My question to you is, how do you look at is on your graph from your garage? Is there a way to screenshot while on the water then come back it later?

You can take a snapshot or do a recording and view it on the unit later.

Snapshots are picture files and can be read by picture viewer software on most computers.

You can also view the snapshots and recordings on your computer.

Recordings can be played back on a computer using a third party viewer--I use HumViewer and DeepViewFV
The number series and Helix snapshots are .png format.
ONIX and SOLIX snapshots are .jgg format.

Does it save these pics and videos to the sd card? Is it the same sd card the map is on or do you use two sd cards assuming there are 2 sd card slots.? I haven't even taken my helix units out of the box yet so I don't know how many it has.

That's what I thought. Also do you see fish in the water column under the boat, or wold you think that is just clutter?

Not fish. They are very long and in the bottom. Stake bed maybe?

I was thinking those long shadow lines are surface turblance picked up from probably going over a boat wake or something. I have idled and fished this point multiple times and there are no stake beds on it.

For that to occur, the SI transducer would be on the port side of the hull and you would get cavitation from the keel being deeper on the right side of the transducer. THEN the shadows would be from where the bottom begins and go to the outer edge like this:

Your shadows are from some vertical subjects that are not under the transducer, but off to the side like a stake bed, timber, or dock posts would be.
