Want to look into ordering a Phoenix

I'm ready to at least start the process of ordering a boat. I'm thinking a 920 pro xp. For the right deal I am sure I could do a floor model. I have never ordered a boat so I am not sure how long it takes or exactly how the process works. Two things i really would like to know.

1- what options are must have options and what one are strongly recommended? I hear about some I've never seen anywhere like fan system.

2- who should I order from? I am in central Ohio. I tried contacting Wiedas Marine but never heard back from them. I am going to contact Malones.

That is surprising on Wiedas I called them they called me right back. I would give Sean or Robbie another call. I drove from Kansas to Wiedas! That being said there are lots of great Phoenix dealers!

I used McCallister marine in MO and they were great. Now for options

    1. Padded front deck - must
    2. Paint over Gator Hyde on the trailer - must
    3. C Channel trailer - recommended, must imo
    4. Merc monitor or gauges for alarm definitions(if you go with a merc) - recommended
    5. Over sized front trailer step, if you don't get the steps - recommended
    6. Hydraulic jack plate - must imo, some will say recommended
    7. ultrex - must
    8. poles - recommended

    that's a start I'm sure I missed something

I'd recommend Boat Works in Carlyle, IL - Justin will take good care of everything and they don't get bogged down with tons of new boat orders like larger dealers.

My recommendations are the same as DEFMP, but I would also add dual trailer brakes and the fan system (water can get into the lockers when it rains a lot).

Lake Drive Marine in Coldwater Mi is not that far from you. Great people. Ask for Jeff, he is the owner. They have a few models in stock.

Weida's Marine, ask for Richie. They didn't blow off a call, they must have been busy and it got overlooked. That is rare, give them another shot. You'll be glad you did.

I sent a message to Wiedas, Malone's, and Marine Works. I will wait to hear from the 3 of them before I reach out to anymore. I'm usually not a fan of shopping around but need to see how other dealers operate. I'm not necessarily chasing cheapest price. I'm chasing price, service, and experience all factored together. I want to build a relationship with a dealer.

Thank you everyone for the help and opinions so far. I will keep everyone updated on the process. Later, I will also review the options I plan and review everyone's suggestions as well. I'm sure I will have questions.

go to closest dealer, they will compete for price...they don't like to work on boats if u didn't buy it there, sucks passing dealers,to get warranty work done were u bought it.....to me worth a little more to have a close dealer

Service after the sell is the most important thing to me. To bad it's hard to test them on that untill AFTER you buy.
