    99 triton 180 premier

    Have a 99 Johnson 150 on it with raker 14.5 x24 prop.tournament load im running 57 to 58mph with two guy's...by myself and half tank gas i can run 60...no jack plate. Would a jack plate help me gain any speed or is that all this boat and motor have...running around 5100 rpms at wot for those speeds..

    A plate will usually help gain you some speed.

    Yep setback in cleaner water & being able to lift motor some should help, but probably won’t get over 3 mph at the most. It will however be more efficient in the operating department.
