I have a 1993 254 with a 75hp Opti, I get around 43mph with a 19 pitch prop. 5750rpm which is the max rpm for mine. You should be turning a few more rpm I would imagine. Mine is set around 3 1/2 in below the pad.

I have an 2011 with a 75 mercury and top out at 38. I am getting 5800 RPM doing so. Is it possible you are getting the best you can and your RPMs are off? I don’t know my height or prop for that matter. I will check and add it later. I have a lot of tackle and a 24 volt setup along with a cranking battery. Not sure I can get much more out of mine.

That’s what I was thinking with all my gear in my 24 V trolling motor plus me being 250 pounds is about all I’m going to get out of it I think my tachometer is off thanks for your input though

correct 17 pitch is what you need 19 on a 75 is way to much. Your rpms are to low . Motor needs to be on second hole but 19 pitch stainless is to much. Also 176xt is a traditional boat no pad. Don’t know what speed will be but a 17 will jump this boat on plane and keep nose and rpms up
