Put the boat in the water tonight and my son started it. As soon as it started, a huge, mosquito clearing cloud of burnt oil poured out. When I say a cloud it was bad enough that i could see it roll by my truck. Nothing else unusual after that for the rest of the evening when we were out fishing. Strange.
Mine will puff smoke every now and then, especially when I restart it after running it hard and not letting it cool down enough. but nothing that crazy. I talked to my dealer about it when I took it in for it's 20 hour service, and he didn't seem concerned about it and said it's a 4 stroke thing and just watch it.

When mine is tilted in the down position for a while and I start it sometimes it does. Word is oil pools on the back of the piston when not running and trimmed down.
