    Charleston state park boat ramp

What is the fishing like on the Ohio river around Charleston state park? Have a club tourney next month and have never been on that pool? What are some of the better creeks and are they easy to get into?

Go upriver a short way to the mouth of Fourteen Mile Creek. Turn left, put your trolling motor down and fish up it approximately four hours. After four hours, turn around and your way back out... Or just give me a call, John.

There is no boat dock in place, best to pick partner up on ramp but warn him it can be very slippery. Current can be heavy there also.

Best possible answer right here. Lots of nice spots can be caught in the first couple hundred yards off the river.

It takes about four hours to fish it to the back and then four more back to the front... Right, Jason?

I will add that that stretch of river has been fishing very very tough this spring. Look up usa bassin Duffy landing results for proof, it's been bad. A lot of it has to do with the river has just never been right this year, always muddy and running hard.

Club tourny is the only reason i would fish there. And i live in Ctown ... Be very careful with the motor at that ramp also. Lots of rocks. I hardly ever trim all the way down. Google earth is your friend, find the ceeks and riprap banks..

Has anyone ever fished Owen or Harrord's Creeks?

Yep. Both of them. The best area in Harrod's will get you pinched, however...
