That’s crazy, I’m glad for the boys and the lake as well.
The first 25 pound bag I was a part of was over 20 years ago up tibbee.
    Hope the trend continues.

It definitely lived up to the recent hype. I was a tad shy of the 25 lb mark though. to those guys.

Are the weights and order of finish posted anywhere on the internet? I would like to see how the overall weights looked but don’t know where to find this info. Any help would be appreciated. I used to live in Columbus and fished Columbus Lake all the time. I have wondered about the negative talk/reports about how Columbus was a horrible fishery now. Hard to put that label on a lake that gives up a 25+ lb sack of bass.

Not sure where to find the entire list of weights from that tourney.
its been pretty consistent to need a three fish limit of 11+ to win the Thursday fruit jar.... tonight had two bags over 11.5 and one over 10.

Columbus is still a mud hole.... keep moving, nothing to see here!

I don't have a list of the results from that tournament but 2nd and 3rd place had 11 and some change.

Thanks for the info. I hope to get down there later this year and try my luck. The biggest trick to me will be hoping to dodge all the stumps, logs, etc. It always was interesting navigating Tibbee Creek. It seemed like stumps would just appear in places you had run a hundred times before.

So what are the opinions for the improvement of Columbus Lake? are Aberdeen and Aliceville improving also? Only thing that comes to mind is the 14" length limit that was implemented several years back and several years of good spawning. I would have thought most of the good spawning pockets (good when I was around) would be choked out with vegetation by now, but I have not fished the lake since I left Starkville 4+ years ago and the thursday night tournaments took about 6-8 lbs this time of year.
