    Lithium Pros users step inside

Hi everyone, I recently purchased lithiums for my boat the M3130 model as well as the plug in the wall charger. The batteries were fully charged the night before and I killed them in 5 hours. They didnt even have the juice to turn on the blue light on my ultrex. Yes those 5 hours the trolling motor was on 5-7 because I was looking for beds but I figured lithiums lasted longer than lead cells. Took them out the next day after charging them that night again and killed them in 7 hours but i was only on 4-6 trying to make them last longer. I am in no way trying to bash the company just seeing if anyone else has experienced this. I did contact Lithium Pro's and did a voltage test which mine passed and was told i may need to purchase a third battery.

30 amps is way too low for covering water. I see most on here going with 60 amps. I run 80 amps and would never run any less.

Think most of the pros use the 40 amp hour models.

    I wouldn’t go with anything less than 80ahs for trolling. I’ve got 2 100ah

I ran the m3130 with no issues, but ran two of them. That would give you 60 amp hours doubling your run time.

Hickory, I am running two, how long do your batteries usually run for, do you charge them after every use?

What is the battery voltage after the charger says that they are charger?

I run a stealth DC Charger also and have fished over 10 times without charging them, usually around 4 hours or so. I fished the big O last year a week and over 9 hours a day without issues in the wind and grass.

I would call up to lithium Pro and ask them about it. Something doesn’t sound right.

I have been running the M3130-36ck on my shop boat for 2 years now. We are seeing less runtime with the Ultrex but I have still fished for 6 days in a row without plugging in (Fortrex saw 8 days in a row). The only reason I plugged in after 6 days was to start a tournament.

I can spot lock below Kentucky or Barkley Dam and hold position all day without worry. I am also running the DC charger but I dont see much run time on a typical tournament after blast off.

In my testing, a single M3140 will last from first light till about noon when the Ultrex is ran on 80-100%.

Tim, good info. 40 amp = 6 hours. So 30 amps = 4 hours. (hard use in windy or high current conditions) I do believe he needs more than a single 30 amp battery.
I run 80 amp so I'm good for about 12 hours. I do know I've run down three Odessey PCM 2150 group 31 batteries down in 6 hours fishing 30+ MPH winds. My 80 amp Lithiums in the same conditions run fine all day.

I could be wrong here but, If you are running a 24 trolling motor the amps do not change. You still have 30 amps. Now if you were running a 12 volt trolling motor you amps will double to 60.

2 batteries wired in series double the voltage but the amperage remains the same.
2 batteries wired in parallel voltage remains the same but amperage doubles.

I truly believe your batteries are wired in series and need to be in parallel. Sending 42 v to a 24v motor is asking for trouble. You want 24v and the amperage to double, not the voltage. You want your jumper wires to be neg to neg and pos to pos NOT pos to neg.

Well like most of these threads, some of you guys have no clue.

Dube, I would talk to Kevin and see if you can swap out the batteries for the 40 amp ones.
That would give you 80 verse the 90 with three and save you some money and space.
