    201XLE

Are there any Stratos 201XLE owners out there. I need some info.
    Is the livewell partition removeable.
What is the best top speed prop for an Evinrude 250 HO with the new M2 lower unit.
What is the top speed, how is the handling, ride.

I've never tried to take the partition out.

With the new Lu, I've hit 77.3 several times loaded. 77.8 light.
Handling is on rails, and very predictable. Little to no walk when set up correctly.
Rough water ride is outstanding, as are many boats with a seasoned driver.
I've had mine from pickwick, to the Potomac and everywhere in between. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm running a 28 raker II with PVS holes added. Holeshot is great and plenty of get up and go at any speed.

Partition not removable on my '09. Generally great ride, does not like a side wake hitting the hull at speed, but most boats don't either. Mike Allen ran a 250 Rude to 85 gps, don't remember what prop. Mine has a 300 Hammer with a phase 3 HydroTec kit, plus a couple more go fast items. I can fish 2, loaded heavy, in the eighties no problem. I really like the boat, especially all the storage and the seats.

I really hope the partition can be taken out. We have Northern pike series here in Ontario Canada. Them long toothy critters need a BIG well to get them back to the weight-in alive.
Thanks for the info guys, a 201 XLE will be in the driveway in late March

Oh, I hate it that water rides over the back if you dont slow down properly!

I have owned several Stratos boats....never had one that didnt wash the back deck when shutting down fast.
If thats the only problem I will have with a 201XLE..........been there.

Jim,the livewell partition is not removable however we have had to replace them before.. And you have to take two and cut them in half and let them overlap then thru-bolt.. that may be an option for you

So removing the partition will not take away from the integrety(strength) of the livewell.

    Re: 201XLE (Jim Patry)

    2009 210 evo w/ 250 HO and new M2 case.

    75.4 loaded team tourny, 3/4 gas, 3/4 live well water, 2 people (450lbs). 27 Fury stock @ 5980 rpms.

I believe a 27 fury worked and turned up (to 28) will get me within 1.5 - 2mph of top speed loaded w/lightning case. hole shot is not an issue w/my fury.
