    OMC Engine Tuner

What is the correct procedure for decarbing with this product? Also, would it be safe to use Yahmaha Ring Free instead? The motor is a 98 Johnson Ficht 175 with 570 hours on it.

Directions are on the can, but for a quick primmer you'll remove the air box from the motor, submerge the lower unit and start the motor. Let it come up to operating temp and spray the chemical down the throttle bodies in short burst on each cylinder. It is a chemical treatment that is highly concentrated. Ring free is an after the fact treatment. The two should not be confuse with one another.

Would you also take out the plugs and spray down there also?

Yep and rotate the flywheel by hand and let it sit overnight. If you do it on muffs make sure you don't do it on a concrete drive way.
