    So for some of you that keep your houses in the 60's whats the outside temps at that time. I ask because ive been told that an AC unit can only keep your home 20 degrees cooler than the outside temps. This seems to pretty much be true for me as if its mid 90s outside my AC unit is basically running non stop to keep it mid 70s until it cools off at night.

    Didn't know if ive been fed a line of BS and need more insulation up top... Or if its legit.

    95-105 degrees in summertime here.

    90s-100s pretty common had new windows and siding put on before siding was put on tho they did foam insulation around the whole house can’t believe the difference all 3 have made AC set on 68 shuts off pretty regularly

    72 in the summer, 64 in the winter. My 5 ton unit works pretty hard to cool and heat 4000 square feet. Utility bill (using TVA power) averages $350 per month.
