    Budget flooring

Hey guys havent posted in ages. Anyway my boats always been a budget boat since I got it cheap and it didnt really make sense to blow money into this boat. So I decided to take on a bunch of budget ideas and test them for the hell of it.

Anyway I put some foam flooring in to "neaten" things up but more importantly get rid of the issues of stepping on mental latch frames and adding some extra cushion for long days.

It turned out okay. USE AN EXTRA SHARP KNIFE AND CONSTANTLY CHANGE BLADES. I'm going to clean up the cuts a bit.

I also forgot to take before shots...

    That's a funny lookin' bass.

Love the floor. I have that stuff in my woodshop. It's like walking on air. Now slip on some Crocs and you're almost floating.

Yea it is a very funny bass. XD I was hammering on some schoolers and this guy hit it beyond hard. Boy did I ever get excited....then I realized it was this pike. Couldnt find any other pics of how my floor previously looked.

I'm really liking this stuff. I used it for my flooring under my drums and also in the garage.

Tried spray glue but shortly realized this was a failed attempt. I ended up redoing it with carpet adhesive from home depot.

Looks good. I'm ready for something other than carpet myself.

Honestly I could have done a way way better job on this. Not my best work. However carpet does get annoying after a while. This stuff actually comes in different patterns as well. Around me I couldnt find any so I had to go with the star pattern. It ran me about $70 canadian including the carpet glue.

Not at all. If you cut them right they should be good. My lids open perfectly fine.

Does that material absorb water? Ive got a bunch of those type matts I put around my boat to walk on and one brand stays wet underneath it for seemingly ever if the floor sweats etc.

The stuff I have doesnt seem to absorb any water. It rained the other day when I was out and it didnt show any signs of absorbing. The water beaded right off. A million times better than the carpet, imo.

I figured if I got a few years out of it I'd be happy. By then I'm hoping to get a new rig.
