    Dishwasher Recommendation

Our old Maytag dishwasher died today. We have never really liked it so probably not going with another Maytag. It never really did a very good job getting the dishes clean and the touch panel hasn't worked very well for quite a while. What brand have you all had the best luck with?

Normally I'm not a yuge fan of Whirlpool but they do make a very good dishwasher.

We’ve had excellent performance from a Bosch. Have had it for 7 years without a hiccup. Does a great job. Whirlpool is made about 4 miles from my house.

The KitchenAid we bought 7 years ago has been quiet and trouble free. And not once has it not cleaned the dishes. It’s a mid-high range model. I believe the 70 series. Retailed for $1199.00, paid $800.00 from my local Superior Maytag dealer.

Bosch or Kitchen Aid mid level and up. The SINGLE biggest thing that will drive the price on a dw is the noise. As you go up in price, you get a quieter model and a bunch of extra buttons and cycles that you will not use 90% of the time. Unfortunately you can't get quiet without getting all the crap that you won't use. Both Bosch & KA are consistently good to great across all of their models for noise, cleaning, reliability. Can't go wrong with either one. $700-850 should be about the going rate for a mid level model in either brands in stainless steel.

    Just goes to show.

We've had a Maytag for right about 15 years now with no problems. Dishes still come out squeaky clean.

We bought a mid range Whirlpool after a recent kitchen fire.
Works so much better and quieter than the old one.
    I would recommend it/

Buy the biggest, baddest, highest performance, dishwasher on the market even if you can't afford it. It's the BBC way and make sure you pay cash!

Don't buy a high efficiency model if you want your dishes to dry.

I bought a Kitchen Aid years ago, very quiet and no trouble yet. Bosch was my other consideration.

Our 20 year old dishwasher recently went out, and I replaced it with a Bosch. Very happy with it. It's extremely quiet.

Dishwashers now are not the same as dishwashers in the past. They use little water but wash 2x as long. Many dishwashers look good, but they are often not good.

We have had a Bosch dishwasher in each of our last two houses. They truly spoil you.
