Z Series HDS 16 Console Mount

Here's some pix of an install done on an earlier models Z series console using our Precision Sonar Console mount and adapter plates.

The low profile of the Z series console could use a little added height to help deflect wind turbulence. The HDS16 does just that and was a good idea in a lot of ways.

Our customer was very pleased with his new set up.

That sure is a lot of steering wheel spacer on that setup. Makes for a 'smaller cockpit' and a much longer reach for the trim and jackplate levers. I would think that there is a big opportunity to improve this setup by mounting the unit much (4") closer to the factory dash.

There's a butt for every seat ... One of the advantages of using a steering wheel spacer is not only to customize the distance from the wheel to the screen but to provide a best fit for the driver when in the seat. Not everyone is blessed with long arms. In this case a larger spacer was used to bring the wheel closer to the driver which made driving the boat easier for him.

The customer was quite pleased on his new set up.
